CHAPTER 1

1:1 Sha'ul, shaliach Yeshua ha-Mashiach through the will of Elohim, el ha-k'doshim b'Ephesos, v'ne'emanim ba-Mashiach Yeshua:

1:2 Chesed to you and shalom from Elohim Avinu va-Adoneinu, Yeshua ha-Mashiach.

1:3 Baruch hu ha-Elohim va-Avi Adoneinu Yeshua ha-Mashiach, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing ba-shamayim ba-Mashiach;  4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of ha`olam, that we would be k'doshim and without blemish before him b'ahavah;  5 having predestined1-5 us for adoption as banim through Yeshua ha-Mashiach to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,  6 to the praise of ha-kavod of his chesed, with which he favored us in the Beloved,  7 in whom we have our redemption through his dam, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his chesed,  8 which he made to abound toward us in all chokhmah and prudence,  9 making known to us ha-sod of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him  10 to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things ba-Mashiach, the things ba-shamayim, and the things ba-aretz, in him;

1:11 in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all (things) after the counsel of his will;  12 to the end that we should be to the praise of his kavod, we who first trusted el-Mashiach:  13 in whom you also, having heard davar ha-emet, ha-B'sorah of your yeshu`ah, -- in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with Ruach ha-Kodesh of promise,  14 who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his kavod.

* 1:15 For this cause I also, having heard of the emunah ba-Adon Yeshua which is among you, and ha-ahavah which you have toward kol ha-k'doshim,  16 don't cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my t'fillim,  17 that ha-Elohei Adoneinu Yeshua ha-Mashiach, Avi ha-kavod, may give to you ruach ha-chokhmah v'ha-hitgalut in the knowledge of him;  18 having the eyes of your l'vavot enlightened, that you may know what is ha-tikvah of his calling, and what are the riches of ha-kavod of his inheritance ba-k'doshim,  19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might  20 which he worked ba-Mashiach, when he raised him min ha-metim, and made him to sit at his right hand ba-shamayim,  21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only ba`olam hazeh, but im gam ba`olam ha-ba,  22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him l'rosh al-ha-kol el-ha`edah,  23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills kol ba-kol,

* The Greek appears to be one sentence from 1:15 thru 2:7.

PEREQ ‏ב‎
CHAPTER 2

2:1 and you being dead in trespasses and chata'im,  2 in which you once walked according to the course of `olam hazeh, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of ha-ruach who now works in the sons of disobedience;  3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our basar, doing the desires of ha-basar and of the mind, and were by nature y'ladim of wrath, even as the rest.  4 But Elohim, being rich in chesed, for his great ahavah with which he loved us,  5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Mashiach (ba-chesed have you been saved),  6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him ba-shamayim ba-Mashiach Yeshua,  7 that in the coming age he might show the exceeding riches of his chesed in kindness toward us in Mashiach Yeshua;  8 for by chesed you have been saved through emunah, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of Elohim,[A]9 not of ma`asim, that no one would boast.  10 For we are his workmanship, created ba-Mashiach Yeshua for ma`asim tovim, which Elohim prepared before that we would walk in them.

2:11 Therefore remember that once you, ha-goyim ba-basar, who are called "uncircumcision"2-11 by that which is called "mulah," (ba-basar, made by hands); 12 that you were at that time separate from Mashiach, alienated from the citizenship2-12 of Yisra'el, and strangers from ha-b'ritot of the promise, having no tikvah and without Elohim ba-olam.  13 But now in Mashiach Yeshua you who once were far off are made near b'dam ha-Mashiach.  14 For he is our shalom, who made both echad, and broke down the middle wall of partition,  15 having abolished ba-basar the hostility, Torat ha-mitzvot contained in chukkot, that he might create in himself ish echad chadash of the two, making shalom;  16 and might reconcile them both b'guf echad l'Elohim through the stake, having killed the hostility thereby.  17 He came and preached shalom to you who were far off and to those who were near.  18 For through him we both have our access in one Ruach el ha-Av.  19 So then you are no longer gerim and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with ha-k'doshim, u'v'nei beit Elohim,  20 being built on the foundation of ha-shlichim v'ha-n'vi'im, Mashiach Yeshua himself being rosh pinnah;  21 in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a mishkan kodesh ba-YHWH;  22 in whom you also are built together for a habitation of Elohim ba-Ruach.

PEREQ ‏ג‎
CHAPTER 3

3:1 For this cause I, Sha'ul, am the prisoner of Mashiach Yeshua on behalf of you, ha-goyim,  2 if it is so that you have heard of the administration of chesed Elohim which was given me toward you;  3 how that by hitgalut ha-sod was made known to me, as I wrote before in few d'varim,  4 whereby, when you read, you can perceive my understanding b'sod ha-Mashiach;  5 which in other dorot was not made known to b'nei adam, as it has now been revealed to his shlichim k'doshim and nevi'im ba-Ruach;  6 that ha-goyim are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise ba-Mashiach Yeshua through ha-B'sorah,

3:7 whereof I was made an `eved, according to the gift of that chesed Elohim which was given me according to the working of his power.  8 To me, the very least of all ha-k'doshim, was chesed hazeh given, to preach ba-goyim the unsearchable riches of Mashiach,  9 and to bring all to light what is the koinonia of ha-sod which for ages has been hidden in Elohim, who created all things through Yeshua ha-Mashiach;  10 to the intent that now through ha`edah the manifold chokhmat Elohim might be made known to the principalities and the powers ba-shamayim,  11 according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Mashiach Yeshua, Adoneinu;  12 in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our emunah in him.  13 Therefore I ask that you may not lose heart at my troubles for you, which are your kavod.

3:14 For this cause, I bow my knees la-Avi Adoneinu Yeshua ha-Mashiach,  15 from whom every family ba-shamayim u'va-aretz is named,  16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his kavod, that you may be strengthened with power through his Ruach in the inward man;  17 that Mashiach may dwell in your l'vavot ba-emunah; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded b'ahavah,  18 may be strengthened to comprehend with all ha-k'doshim what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  19 and to know ahavat Mashiach which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of Elohim.

3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  21 to him be ha-kavod ba`edah ba-Mashiach Yeshua l'kol dorot `ad `olam `olamim.  Amein.

CHAPTER 4

4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner in ha-Adon, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,  2 with all lowliness and humility, with longsuffering, bearing with one another b'ahavah;  3 being eager to keep ha-achadut ha-Ruach in the bond of shalom.  4 Guf echad, v'Ruach echad, even as you also were called in tikvat echad of your calling;  5 Adon echad, emunah achat, t'vilah echat,  6 El v'Av echad la-kol, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.  7 But to each one of us was the chesed given according to the measure of the dōrea of Mashiach.  8 Thus he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts la-adam."  9 Now this, "He ascended," what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of ha-aretz?  10 He who descended is the same also who ascended far above all ha-shamayim, that he might complete all (things).  11 He gave some to be shlichim, v'et eleh [some] nevi'im, v'et eleh maggidim, v'et eleh ro`im u'morim;  12 for the perfecting of ha-k'doshim, l'ma`aseh of serving, to the building up of guf ha-Mashiach;  13 until we all attain l'achadut ha-emunah, and of the knowledge of Ben Elohim, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Mashiach;  14 that we may no longer be y'ladim, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of torah, by the trickery of b'nei adam, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;  15 but speaking emet b'ahavah, we may grow up in all things into him, Mashiach, hu ha-rosh;  16 from whom kol ha-guf, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes ha-guf increase to the building up of itself b'ahavah.

4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify b'Adon, that you no longer walk as the rest of ha-goyim also walk, in the futility of their mind,  18 being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the chayei Elohim, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their l'vavot;  19 who, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.  20 But you did not learn Mashiach that way;  21 if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as emet b'Yeshua;  22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old adam, that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit;  23 and that you be renewed b'ruach of your mind,  24 and put on ha-adam he-chadash, that like Elohim has been created bi'tz'dakah and holiness of emet.

4:25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak emet each one with his neighbor.  For we are members one of another.  26 "Be angry, and don't sin."[A]  Don't let the sun go down on your wrath,  27 neither give place to ha-satan.  28 Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.  29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give chesed to those who hear.  30 Don't grieve Ruach ha-Kodesh Elohim, in whom you were sealed el-yom ha-g'ullah.  31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.  32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as Elohim ba-Mashiach forgave you.

[A] (26) Ps. 4:4.

PEREQ ‏ה‎
CHAPTER 5

5:1 Then be imitators of Elohim, as beloved y'ladim.  2 Walk b'ahavah ka-asher gam Mashiach ahav you, and gave himself up for us l'qorban v'zevach l'Elohim for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

5:3 But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes k'doshim;  4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.  5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor tameh (person), nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in Malkhut ha-Mashiach v'ha-Elohim.  6 Let none deceive you with empty d'varim.  For through these the wrath of Elohim comes on the sons of disobedience.  7 Then don't be partakers with them.  8 For you were once darkness, but are now or b'Adon.  Walk as b'nei or,  9 for p'ri ha-Ruach is in all chesed v'tzedek ve'emet,  10 proving what is well-pleasing to ha-Adon.  11 Have no koinonia with the unfruitful ma`asim of darkness, but rather even reprove them.  12 For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.  13 But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by ha-or, for everything that is revealed is or.  14 Thus he says, "Awake, you who sleep, and arise min ha-metim, and Mashiach will shine on you."

5:15 So watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as chakhamim;  16 redeeming the time, because ra`im ha-yamim.  17 So don't be foolish, but understand what the will of Adonai is.  18 Don't be drunken with yayin, in which is prodigality, but be filled with ha-Ruach,  19 speaking to one another in t'hillim, shirim, v'zimrot; playing (instruments), and singing praises in your heart to Adonai;  20 giving thanks always for all things b'shem Adoneinu, Yeshua ha-Mashiach, l'Elohim ha-Av.;  21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Mashiach.

5:22 Ha-nashim, be subject to your own ba`alim, as to ha-Adon.  23 Ki ha-ish hu rosh ha-ishshah ka-asher ha-Mashiach hu rosh ha`edah, being himself ha-moshi`a shel ha-guf.  24 But as ha`edah is subject to Mashiach, so let ha-nashim also be to their own ba`alim in everything.  25 Ha-anashim, love your nashim, even as Mashiach also loved ha`edah, and gave himself up for it;  26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of ha-mayim ba-davar,  27 that he might present ha`edah to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be k'doshah and without blemish.  28 Even so ought anashim also to love their own nashim as their own gufim.  He who loves his own ishshah loves himself.  29 For no one ever hated his own basar; but nourishes and cherishes it, ka-asher gam Adonai (loved) ha`edah;  30 because we are members of his guf, of his basar and bones.  31 "For this shall an ish leave aviv v'et imo, and will be joined to his ishshah.  The two will become basar echad."[A]32 Gadol ha-sod hazeh, but I speak in regard of Mashiach v`al ha`edah.  33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own ishshah even as himself; and let ha-ishshah see that she respects ha-ba`al.

[A] (31) Gen. 2:24.

PEREQ ‏ו‎
CHAPTER 6

6:1 Y'ladim, obey your parents ba-Adonai, for this is right.  2 "Honor aviv and imo," which is the first mitzvah with a promise:  3 "that it may be well with you, and you may live long `al-ha-adamah."[A]4 V'ha-avot, don't provoke your y'ladim to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and admonition of Adonai.

6:5 Avadim, be obedient to those who according to ha-basar are your adonim, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as la-Mashiach;  6 not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men-pleasers; but as `vdei ha-Mashiach, doing the will of Elohim from ha-lev;  7 with good will doing service, as to Adonai, and not as to b'nei adam;  8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from Adonai, whether he is `eved or a freeman.  9 V'ha-adonim, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Adon and yours is ba-shamayim, and there is no partiality with him.

6:10 Finally, be strong in Adonai,[B] and in the strength6-10 of his might6-10.  11 Put on the whole armor of Elohim, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of ha-satan.  12 For our wrestling is not against basar va-dam, but against the principalities, against the authorities, against the world's rulers of the darkness of `olam hazeh, and against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in ha-shamayim.  13 Therefore, put on the whole armor of Elohim, that you may be able to withstand ba-yom ha-ra, and, having done all, to stand.  14 Stand therefore, having gird your loins ba-emet, and having put on the breastplate of tz'dakah,  15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of ha-B'sorat ha-shalom;  16 above all, taking up the shield of emunah, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of ha-ra.  17 And take the helmet of yeshu`ah, and the sword of ha-Ruach, which is d'var ha-Elohim;  18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in ha-Ruach, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all ha-k'doshim:  19 On my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of ha-B'sorah,  20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

6:21 But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tuchikos, the beloved brother v'ha-shammash ha-ne'eman ba-Adonai, will make known to you all (things);  22 whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state, and that he may comfort your l'vavot.

6:23 Shalom la-achim, v'ahavah `im-ha-emunah me-et ha-Elohim ha-Av u'me-et ha-Adon Yeshua ha-Mashiach.  24 Chesed be with all those who love Adoneinu Yeshua ha-Mashiach with incorruptibility.  Amein.
